Aimed at integrators and developers, the 20-86-5000 series is a small, high specification, POCSAG paging transmitter printed circuit board, inheriting all of the type approvals of the 20-86-9000 Call Point Transmitters range and the 20-86 series Pendant Transmitter range.
PCB Transmitters - UHF
The 20-86-5000 is an extremely small, UHF POCSAG paging transmitter PCB powered by a standard CR2032 coin cell. The transmitter will operate for more than 5000 transmissions under normal conditions before needing to be replaced.
The transmitter is ideal for developers and integrators wishing to develop their own low power solution.
Using a POCSAG receiver the 20-86-5000, as with all paging transmitters, can also be used for any general remote control application, such as turning on lights, disabling alarms or switching machinery on or off.
Care is recommended in order to avoid static discharge which may damage the PCB during handling.
20-86 transmitters support up to 8 inputs, each of which can be programmed with up to a 35-character message. Programming can be either with a serial programming cable that can be purchased separately or pre-programmed when supplied. Once the operating frequency has been set the 20-86-5000 messages can be changed using configuration software with an optional programming lead.
Although the 20-86 is a low power transmitter, a direct line of sight transmission range of up to 200 metres can be expected. Transmit range within buildings is reduced, but still considerable having proven to be effective in some cases between floors and across buildings.
- UHF operation
- Small, light & discrete
- Internal cell battery
- Cost-effective
- Ideal for short distance paging or telemetry applications
- Ideal for developers and integrators
- Capable of operating on existing in-house paging systems
- Simple Telemetry solution
